About Me
My name is Mckenna O’Neill
I am a 21-year-old marketing student at the University of San Diego. I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts and I moved to San Diego in 2019.
During my time in school, I have become involved with student organizations such as Student Finance Association while also working as a Student Brand Manager for a local company. My passions work-wise include helping developing businesses expand their reach through social media and digital marketing. I have experience working in the San Diego nonprofit sector and am well involved with the community here. I also consider myself to be extremely personable and sociable, and I am flexible with any requests or suggestions you may have. I am determined to make your visions and passions be reflected in your business’s marketing components.
Through both external research and personal experience, I have found that the Marketing Industry is an everchanging and advancing environment. As technology continues to improve, the industry has begun to shift towards better graphics, new styles, and new software. Social media has become one of the most prevalent platforms for marketing. Companies such as Instagram and Tok-Tok are platforms where running ads and marketing campaigns can be seen as widely successful compared to more traditional ways. With this everchanging environment, I fit into this because I have a unique and creative perspective growing up in the expansion of social media marketing. I have also had work experience in multiple community organizations as well as in a corporate setting, so my skills are diversified across many fields of work.
Outside of school and work, I love to spend my time outside walking surfing and searching for the best burrito in San Diego.
