Work Experience

Along with my academics, I have experience in the workforce here in San Diego. In September 2020, I began working as Project Support for the San Diego Foundation, one of the largest non-profits in the area. For about three months, I worked on distributing federal dollars from the CARES act to childcare providers in the area. With the use of marketing research and community outreach, we were able to distribute $25 million in grants to childcare providers in San Diego county.

In December of that same year, once the project had concluded, I began as a marketing intern at the Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce, another extremely influential non-profit/ community organization. I spent a little over a year here, working in community outreach, digital marketing, graphic design, event planning, and content creation. This experience provided me with numerous networking opportunities, where I was able to connect with influential figures in San Diego.

Currently, I am working as a marketing manager for a business intelligence agency located in Escondido, CA. Here, I manage all marketing efforts and collaborate with local companies to better prioritize marketing assets.

Over the course of these work experiences, I have developed crucial marketing skills such as communication, graphic design, email marketing, etc. The community organizations I was a part of helped many small businesses in their marketing efforts, so I have first-hand experience taking client needs and turning them into reality. I have worked with people who lead with passion, and I hope I can do the same for you and your business. I also have worked remotely for the past two years, so I am well-adapted to the online environment of work, making me available to clients all over the country.

I am grateful to have had such wonderful experiences with organizations that provided me with a strong sense of purpose, and I am optimistic that I can provide these same values to you.
